Of particular concern are reported links between Masar Badil and individuals associated with Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, which Canada listed as a terrorist entity in October 2024, as well as public statements and activities involving individuals connected to organizations designated as terrorist entities.
These matters warrant a thorough federal assessment.
I respectfully ask the Government of Canada to:
* conduct or confirm a national-security review of Masar Badil and its Canadian activities;
* assess whether Masar Badil meets the statutory criteria for listing under Canada’s Criminal Code;
* examine relevant leadership, organizational and financial connections with already-listed entities;
* ensure that immigration, border, financial-intelligence and law-enforcement agencies have the information necessary to address any identified national-security concerns; and
* provide Canadians with clarity regarding what steps are being taken in response.
This request is not about suppressing political speech or lawful advocacy. It is about ensuring that Canada’s existing national-security laws are applied consistently where the statutory evidence supports their use.
With Masar Badil publicly promoting activities in Canada, Canadians deserve confidence that the appropriate federal agencies are examining the organization carefully and acting where Canadian law requires it.
