OneGlobalVoice first event in Toronto, at David Pecaut Square, included a delegation of hostages family members from Israel. Yasmin Magal, cousin of lone soldier Omer Neutra, Sasha Ariev, sister of Karina Ariev, Eilat Shavit, aunt of Carmel Gat, and Maayan Shavit, cousin of Carmel Gat.
Other speakers included: Kevin Vuong, MP, James Pasternak, city councillor, Salman Sila, Karen Barzilai.
The amazing Loren Aronov sang both Canada and Israel national anthems, she also performed for the first time in Canada the song October Rain of Eden Golan, and the song Coming Home.
Prayer for the IDF soldiers and for the hostages were recited by Cantor Benjamin Maissner.

We reflect on the parallels between past and present struggles against hate. What lessons do the 1930s offer us, and why are they important as we face surging anti-Semitism and the ongoing captivity of 133 hostages.
Our first discussion will include a few holocaust survivors with family members, and will be moderated by Robert Sarner, writer, journalist.
In our second part, Psychologist Michael Gilboa-Hermel, M.A., will help guide conversation with hostages family members around the complex emotional landscape now faced by them and our community.

Our largest event, 5,000 people joined us at Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto, ON to commemorate 6 months in Hamas hell for the hostages.
Pierre Poilievre, who was introduced by none other than Melissa Lantsman, gave a memorable speech!
A couple of hostages family members: Yoav Shimoni, and Ayelet Levytan spoke about their relatives.
Other speakers included: Goldie Ghamari, James Pasternak, Kevin Vuong, Dana Levenson, Donna Holbrook, Sia Sufi, Laura Barkel, Shoam Kahan, Bar Cohen, Rabbi Plotkin, and Rabbi Wernik.
Loren Aronov sang the Canadian anthem, Robyn Black sang the Israeli anthem, Hadar Zaidman sang Coming Home and October Rain. Even Shai Abramson was there!

Our first event! The coldest day of the winter until now, and still around 1,000 people came to Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto for 100 days in Hamas hell for the hostages.
2 family members of hostages told their stories; Maayan Shavit, and Efrat Litvak.
We listened to speeches by Laura Smith, James Pasternak, Marco Mendicino, Salman Sima, Warren Kinsella, and Rabbi Dubrawsky.
We started with Ivgeni Kriger and his saxophone. Loren Aronov sang the Canadian anthem and Hallelujah, Sapir Bargig sand Coming Home and joined with Eli Green for the Israeli anthem, Emil Khachaturian together with Yury Rayzberg gave us a memorable guitarist show.
